Educating the young lady, and so much dresses

Some weeks ago you read on this Blog about Christine and how we start to educate her properly as a young lady. In my belivings it helps to edcuate a young woman in a victorian way. That belongs to the way she is dressed and of course in the way she behaves. Christine had to adopt to that way. First we went out and buy her some proper dresses, which you can see in this posting.

To prevent that Christine undress herself from the new fashion she has to wear always, i had to use some kid leather mittens which were attached to her hands like gloves. They make it impossible for her to undress, or change something on the way she is dresses on her own. We have enough maids and myself around to help her with redressing through the day.

For going out i come back to the idea of her former husband to use a heavy veil. As she is still not adorable, through her personal condition, it suit her more to beeing covered when leaving the house. It is a strict rule for her to wear always the veil when leaving our home, even when she walks in the garden. You know, neighbours have somtimes curious manners and look over the garden fence.

Additional a muff was attached over her hands. As the use of the mittens may will be seen as non proper by others it help her to be not to obvious in her condition.

Christine get several dresses, to change through the day. From the morning dress, towards a proper outgo set. As every young victorian lady, she had to change her attire several times through the day.

Besides that, she wear of course a proper tight and laced corset. And as it would be not able for her to use the toilet with her restrained hands, a diaper underneeth all her petticoats, bustle's skirts and her underwear. (See the posting about dressing her we had before on this Blog)

Besides that she get a set of rules she had to follow. Strict victorian rules of course:

New Behavior rules (learn them):

- If you have to giggle you place your hand in front of your mouth, as long this is not possible
you turn nicely to the side
- You are not allowed to take any present from not introduced man. If you take a present from
a intruduced man, it has to be not expesive.
- Never argue with a man or a more experienced Lady
- Never interrupt a conversation.
- Dont complain to everyone, you have to take everything with pride. If you want to tell someone
something that bothers you you have to tell it to them in a way that you are happy about it.
- A lady never forms an acquaintance outside the house, or seeks to attract the attention or admiration of persons of the opposite sex.
- A lady never looks back after anyone in the street, or turns to stare in a public place.  She should never walk alone in the street after dark.
- Never question the veracity of any statement made in general conversation. f you are certain a statement is false, and it is injurious to another person, who may be absent, you may quietly and courteously inform the speaker that he is mistaken, but if the falsehood is of no consequence, let it pass. If a statement appears monstrous, but you do not know that it is false, listen, but do not question its veracity. It may be true, though it strikes you as improbable.
- Never criticise a companion's dress, or indeed make any remark whatever upon it. If a near friend, you may, if sincere, admire any article, but with a mere acquaintance let it pass unnoticed. If, however, any accident has happened to the dress, of which she is ignorant, tell her of it, and assist her in repairing the mischief.
- Never raise your voice, whisper and talk silently if possible
- Do not accept an invitation to visit any place of public amusement, with a gentleman with whom you are but slightly acquainted, unless there is another lady also invited.
- You may, as a young lady, go with a relative or your fiancée, without a chaperon, but not otherwise.
- Unless not offered a seat you keep standing in a company with someone else
- You do not stay in your room with anyone besides a maid or xxx if he need to help you with the dress

not introduced gentleman.
- Touches in any form with gentleman (also introduced ones) are not allowed. You have
to stay modest always.
- If a gentleman try to touch you, you are allowed to tell him nicely that it is forbidden for you.
XXX is allowed to touch you for undressing you and help you with changing your
clothes or change your diaper
- With other young ladies, Ladies you are allowed to talk, but remember to stay polite and nice. Hugs a small kisses are allowed also.

possible state.
- Changing of diaper is only allowed when you redress, or in morning after sleeping time
or in evening.
- When help is around you will take a bath daily. Showers are not permitted.
- You are allowed to take off the glasses for a hour once a day, but more
